Kenya & Tanzania Lodge Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Nairobi – Amboseli
Depart Nairobi early morning and begin the journey to your destination accompanied by our friendly and knowledgeable driver guide. You will have a smooth ride to Amboseli National park arriving in time for lunch. After settling in your lodge, head out for the evening game drive. Great wildlife to view and also enjoy the African sun set as you head back to your lodge or tented camp for diner and overnight.

Day 2: Amboseli
After breakfast head out for the morning game drive. Amboseli national pack is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains. Game to view include the usual predators and their prey Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo. After lunch relax at the lodge and later head out for the evening game drive. Diner and overnight at your lodge or tented camp.

Day 3: Amboseli – Lake Manyara
Early morning game drive so as to have a chance to see wildlife you may have missed on your previous game drives. After breakfast proceed on your journey to the Namanga border for custorms clearance. Afterwards proceed on to lake manyara arriving well in time for lunch. After settling in your lodge, head out for the evening game drive. Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. You are bound to encounter the famous tree climbing lions, olive baboons among other wildlife. Diner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 4: Lake Manyara – Serengeti
After breakfast proceed for the morning game drive. You will get a chance to see flamingos; the lake is a breeding ground. The park is rich with fantastic bird life. More than 400 species of birds can be seen here. Depart and you will be driven to Serengeti arriving in time for lunch. After settling in your lodge, head out for the evening game drive. Serengeti covers 12,944km2 of open plains making it one of the largest in the world. The rocky outcrops commonly known as moru kopjes in the eastern part of the park are of scenic beauty and occasionally cats can be seen lazing on them. The park contains vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other antelopes. Dinner and overnight at your luxury tented camp or lodge.

Day 5: Serengeti
After breakfast head out for the morning game drive. Delve into the vast plains of this reserve where the encounter of the big five is common. A drive to the seronera river offers possibilities of sighting big and small cats. The visitor centre close to the Serengeti seronera lodge and public campsites is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. Lunch at your lodge; relax in the afternoon before your evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at your luxury tented camp or lodge.

Day 6: Serengeti – Ngorongoro Crater
Morning game drive after breakfast hoping to capture early morning kills as well as other wildlife you might have missed on your previous game drive. Depart and you will be Ngorongoro crater via the Olduvai Gorge; the site where the Leakey’s family discovered fossils of human remains dating back almost two million years. It is believed to be the cradle of man kind. We will have lunch at the site and afterwards proceed arriving late afternoon. After check inn; take a guided walk along the crater rim enjoying the view as the African sun sets. Diner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 7: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast head to the crater with packed lunch. Descend to the crater floor for a day game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the world biggest volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world not only because of its geological magnificence but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa largest population of large mammals. The annual wildebeest and zebras migration passes through the crater. We will take a break for lunch and thereafter we continue with game viewing while ascending the crater. Diner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 1: Nairobi – Masai Mara

Your first stop over will be at the great rift valley view point for a few minutes chance to take amazing photos of part of the great rift valley. Proceed with your journey to Narok town for an early lunch. Continue on arriving Masai Mara late afternoon. After checking inn; head out for the evening game drive. Day 1 Drive from Nairobi to Masai Mara
Shelter Tours driver / guide will pick you up from either Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi hotel or residence.Our representative will be present to brief you on the whole tour before departing for the Masai Mara Game Reserve via the view-point of the Great Rift Valley and through the famous Narok town arriving to your Lodge in good time for lunch. Day 2: Full Day Game Drive Masai Mara
After breakfast proceed on a full day of game drive within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic Savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensive road and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Day 3: Game Drive Masai Mara to lake naivasha
Early morning per-breakfast game drive. After breakfast, depart the Mara region for Lake Naivasha with lunch enroute arriving late afternoon with optional of boat ride at an extra cost. Or visit the crescent island Dinner and overnight.

Day 4: Game Drive Lake naivasha to lake nakuru
After Breakfast visit the Hell’s gate national park, the park has attractions like the Olkaria and Hobley’s, two extinct volcanoes and the obsidian forms from the cool molten lava. Within Hell’s Gate is the Hells Gate Gorge, lined with red cliffs which contains two volcanic plugs, Fisher’s Tower and Central Tower which is a smaller gorge that extends to the south and of which a path descends into hot springs. Depart for Lake Nakuru arriving in the evening drop at the Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 5: Lake nakuru – Amboseli National Park
After breakfast proceeds on a game drive in Lake Nakuru Park, it is referred as pink lake for it’s thousands of pink flamingos and other bird life-it’s a bird watchers paradise. It has a surprisingly number of animals, it is a rhino sanctuary and the “Big Five except the elephant can be seen here. The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like Cape buffalo and water-buck can be seen near the shoreline. Drive to Amboseli national park. Dinner and overnight.

Day 6: Full Day Game drive Amboseli
Have a full day game drive in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes and birds can also be seen and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit. You will have your picnic lunches from the picnic site in the park then return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 7: Amboseli to Nairobi to Tanzania (Arusha town)
Early morning game drive and then return to the camp for a full breakfast. Later we will drive back to Nairobi to proceed to Tanzania through the Boarder of Namanga (between kenya & Tanzania) for another safari in Tanzania. Your Guide from Tanzania will be waiting for you at the Namanga Boarder. Pick up from Namanga by private vehicle and drop off at the hotel in Arusha

Day 8: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
You’ll depart from Arusha or Moshi after breakfast for the approximately two hour drive to Tarangire National Park. Along the way you’ll pass bustling Masai villages and the vast, open plains that have become synonymous with images of Africa. Tarangire national park where you could have a chance to see the groups of Elephant.

Day 9: Game DriveTarangire to Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will continue towards the fertile highlands where wheat, coffee and corn are grown by the Iraqw people. Passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will be able to see the breath-taking Ngorongoro Crater before traveling onwards to the Serengeti National Park, which you will reach by midday. The Serengeti National Park is the largest park in Tanzania with diverse landscapes and habitats, such as grassy plains, swamps, lakes, savannah and mountains. After an extensive game drive, you will drive to your accommodation where you will enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

After breakfast you will embark upon another incredible game drive in The Serengeti before travelling to the Ngorongoro Crater. Arriving at the edge of the crater in the afternoon, you will have your first glimpse of what awaits you the following day – glistening streams, open grassland and an infinite amount of animals. You will spend the night at a nearby lodge, with the orange glow of sunset surrounding you as you drift off to sleep

Day 12: Ngorongoro Crater to Lake Eyasi (Hadzabe Tribe)
Early risers are rewarded with breath-taking views of the rising sun over the crater’s edge and after a hearty breakfast you will drive down the adventurous track into the crater. Formed millions of years ago, is 610 m deep and covers roughly around 260 square kilometres. Due to its dense animal population of approximately 25 000, the crater offers the best game viewing of all the parks in Tanzania. In matter of minutes you will be able to see wildebeest, zebras, gazelles, elephants and some of the more than 500 bird species in the area. With a little bit of luck you might catch a glimpse of the endangered black rhino horns, peeking through the grass. After lunch you will ascend the steep walls of the crater and head to Lake Eyasi bushman. Breakfast, Lunch &Dinner.

Day 13: Lake Eyasi Hunting with hadzabe-bushman to Lake Manyara
Very early morning (0545am) you’ll drive to the dwellings of the famous Hadzabe tribe in the bush for cultural interaction. Join the Hadzabe tribe and go to forage, and during the course of day eat while foraging, and also bring back some honey, fruit, or wild game when available. While traditionally considered an East African branch of the Khoisan peoples, primarily because their language has clicks, modern genetic research suggests that they may be more closely related to the Pygmies. Get an opportunity to walk with them and watch the way they hunt or collect honey and insects. Breakfast, Lunch &Dinner.

Day 14: Game drive &Walking Safari at Lake Manyara to Arusha
Your final stop on the tour is the small Lake Manyara National Park, named after the shallow alkaline lake covering roughly 200km² of the park. The park is known for its diverse landscapes; not only open grassy plains, but also primate-filled woodlands and baobab dotted cliffs. Apart from the spectacular and diverse birdlife of over 400 species, the park is also home to hippos, elephants, baboons, wildebeest and the peculiar tree-climbing lions. After an extensive game drive through the park, you will leave the cascades of flamingos.
After lunch we will start away back to Arusha.

Day 15: Transfer to Kilimanjaro Airport
A driver will bring you to Kilimanjaro Airport, from where you will connect your flight ot your next destination, home or Zanzibar.
