6 Days Lake Manyara - Ngorongoro Crater - Serengeti Camping Safari Itinerary
Day 1: Arusha – Lake Manyara
Depart Arusha early morning and begin the journey to your destination accompanied by our friendly and knowledgeable driver guide. You will be driven to lake manyara arriving well in time for lunch. After settling in your tent, head out for the evening game drive. Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. You are bound to encounter the famous tree climbing lions, olive baboons among other wildlife. Diner and overnight at your campsite.

Day 2: Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast proceed for the morning game drive. You will get a chance to see flamingos; the lake is a breeding ground. The park is rich with fantastic bird life. More than 400 species of birds can be seen here. Depart and you will be driven to Ngorongoro crater arriving in time for lunch. In the afternoon you can opt to take a guided walk along the crater rim enjoying the view as the African sun sets. Diner and overnight at your campsite.

Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast head to the crater with packed lunch. Descend to the crater floor for a day game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the world biggest volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world not only because of its geological magnificence but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa largest population of large mammals. The annual wildebeest and zebras migration passes through the crater. We will take a break for lunch and thereafter we continue with game viewing. Ngorongoro crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and big herds of African elephants. Ascend the crater and proceed to the campsite for diner and overnight.

Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater – Serengeti
After breakfast depart and you will be driven to serengeti passing through Olduvai Gorge the site of Leakey’s family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. Proceed on arriving the serengeti in time for lunch. After settling in your tents, head out for the evening game drive. Serengeti covers 12,944km2 of open plains making it one of the largest in the world. The rocky outcrops commonly known as moru kopjes in the eastern part of the park are of scenic beauty and occasionally cats can be seen lazing on them. The park contains vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other antelopes. Dinner and overnight at your budget campsite.

Day 5: Serengeti
After breakfast head out for the morning game drive. Delve into the vast plains of this reserve where the encounter of the big five is common. A drive to the seronera river offers possibilities of sighting big and small cats. The visitor centre close to the Serengeti seronera lodge and public campsites is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. Lunch at your campsite; relax in the afternoon before your evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at your campsite.

Day 6: Serengeti – Arusha
Morning game drive after breakfast hoping to capture early morning kills as well as other wildlife you might have missed on your previous game drive. Depart and you will be driven back Arusha; lunch en route arriving in the afternoon. Drop off at your hotel where your safari ends.
