First Day from Arusha/Moshi to Lake Manyara

Shelter Tours driver / guide will pick you up from either Kilimanjaro International Airport, Arusha/Moshi hotel or your residence to drive you Lake Manyara arriving well in time for lunch. After settling in your lodge, head out for the evening game drive. Lake Manyara is a scenic gem, with a setting extolled by Ernest Hemingway as “the loveliest I had seen in Africa”. You are bound to encounter the famous tree climbing lions, olive baboons among other wildlife. Diner and overnight at your lodge.

Second Day from Lake Manyara to Serengeti

This day after breakfast; you will head out for the morning game drive. You will get a chance to see flamingos; the lake is a breeding ground. The park is rich with fantastic bird life. More than 400 species of birds can be seen here. Depart and you will be driven to serengeti arriving well in time for lunch. After settling in your lodge, head out for the evening game drive. Serengeti covers 12,944km2 of open plains making it one of the largest in the world. The rocky outcrops commonly known as moru kopjes in the eastern part of the park are of scenic beauty and occasionally cats can be seen lazing on them. The park contains vast herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle and other antelopes. Dinner and overnight at your luxury tented camp or lodge.

Third Day in Serengeti

Today after breakfast; you will head out for the morning game drive. You have the opportunity for a full day game drive with picnic lunch or half day safari and evening game drive with hot lunch at the lodge. Delve into the vast plains of this reserve where the encounter of the big five is common. A drive to the seronera river offers possibilities of sighting big and small cats. The visitor centre close to the Serengeti seronera lodge and public campsites is well worth a visit after the morning’s game drive. Lunch at your lodge; relax in the afternoon before your evening game drive. Dinner and overnight at your luxury tented camp or lodge.

Forth Day from Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Today you will have an early game drive after a scrumptious breakfast. Depart and you will be Ngorongoro crater via the Olduvai Gorge; the site where the Leakey’s family discovered fossils of human remains dating back almost two million years. It is believed to be the cradle of man kind. We will have lunch at the site and afterwards proceed arriving late afternoon. After check inn; take a guided walk along the crater rim enjoying the view as the African sun sets. Diner and overnight at your lodge.

Fifth Day from Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha/Moshi

After breakfast head to the crater with packed lunch. Descend to the crater floor for a day game drive. Ngorongoro Crater is the world biggest volcanic caldera at 8300 sq km and is arguably the most stunning arena. It is frequently described as one of the wonders of the world not only because of its geological magnificence but also because it serves as an extraordinary natural sanctuary for some of Africa largest population of large mammals. The annual wildebeest and zebras migration passes through the crater. We will take a break for lunch and thereafter we continue with game viewing while ascending the crater. Your driver guide will take you back Arusha/Moshi. You will be dropped off either at Kilimanjaro International Airport, Arusha/Moshi hotel or your residence as per arrangements made earlier. End of your exciting Tanzania lodge safari.
