This itinerary is designed to offer a fulfilling trekking experience up Mount Kenya, highlighting key waypoints and allowing for acclimatization.
The trekking duration and pace may be adjusted to suit individual preferences and ensure a safe and enjoyable adventure.

Day 0: Arrival and Pickup in Nairobi

Your adventure begins as you arrive in Nairobi, the capital city of Kenya. Upon landing at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, you'll be warmly received and picked up by our team. We'll transfer you to Naro Moru town, the starting point for the trek. Here, you'll have an overnight stay and a thorough briefing about the trek. Our team will also conduct an equipment check to ensure you're well-prepared for the journey ahead.
Day 1: Naro Moru Gate (2,330m) to Met Station (3,000m)

As the first official day of trekking, we'll depart early morning for Naro Moru Gate, the entry point to Mount Kenya National Park. After registration and necessary formalities, the trek commences. The trail leads you through a beautiful forest characterized by a rich array of flora and fauna. After several hours of trekking, you'll reach Met Station, a campsite situated at 3,000 meters above sea level, offering a perfect spot to rest and acclimatize.
Day 2: Met Station (3,000m) to Mackinder's Camp (4,300m)

Rising with the sun, you'll continue your journey through the enchanting moorland. The path offers stunning views of the surrounding peaks, providing an energizing backdrop to your trek. Eventually, you'll arrive at Mackinder's Camp, located near the end of the Teleki Valley. Here, at an elevation of 4,300 meters, you'll settle for the night, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of Mount Kenya.
Day 3: Mackinder's Camp (4,300m) to Point Lenana (4,985m) to

Shipton's Camp (4,200m) An early start marks the summit push. Under the blanket of night, you'll ascend towards Point Lenana, the third highest peak of Mount Kenya. The exhilaration of reaching the summit, especially at sunrise, is unparalleled. After this awe-inspiring accomplishment, you'll descend to Shipton's Camp, where you can replenish your energy and rest, reflecting on the incredible feat you've achieved
Day 4: Shipton's Camp (4,200m) to Old Moses Camp (3,300m)

Descending from the high altitudes, the journey takes you through the picturesque Mackinder's Valley. The views are remarkable, providing a different perspective of the mountain. Trekking downwards, you'll reach Old Moses Camp, nestled at an elevation of 3,300 meters. Here, you'll find a welcoming environment to relax and recover from the trek, surrounded by the lush beauty of the lower altitudes.
Day 5: Old Moses Camp (3,300m) to Naro Moru Gate (2,330m)

The final day of the trek involves descending through the forested paths, bringing you back to the starting point. As you trek down, take in the sights and sounds of the forest, appreciating the unique beauty of Mount Kenya from this perspective. Upon reaching Naro Moru Gate, completing the trek, you'll be transferred to a comfortable accommodation for a well-deserved rest and celebration of your successful climb.
Day 6: Departure from Nairobi (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport)

After a good night's rest, you'll be transferred to Nairobi, where you can enjoy some leisure time or opt for a city tour to explore the vibrant capital. As the journey comes to an end, we'll transfer you to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport for your departure, bidding farewell and concluding this remarkable adventure.
